Prof. Xinnan Wang🎓︎ Dalian Maritime University, China Bio:Wang Xinian is a professor at the School of Information Science and Technology, Dalian Maritime University, holding a Ph.D. in Engineering. After earning his doctorate in Information and Communication Systems from the same university in 2005, he joined the faculty and later served as R&D Director at Dalian Hengrui Technology Co., Ltd. from 2020 to 2021. His research primarily focuses on computer vision and biometric recognition, with distinctive work in identity verification and health assessment using footprints, foot sole patterns, gait, and handwriting, as well as applications in intelligent transportation visual perception and industrial defect detection. He has published numerous papers in domestic and international journals and conferences and holds dozens of national invention patents. His academic and engineering contributions have been recognized with the Second Prize of Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, the First Prize of Dalian Municipal Science and Technology Progress Award, and selection as a "Dalian High-End Talent" in 2020. He currently supervises graduate and undergraduate students in signal processing, pattern recognition, and machine learning within the disciplines of Information and Communication Engineering and Electronic Information. |
Prof. Chen Guo🎓︎ Dalian Jiaotong University, China Bio:Guo Chen is an Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor at the School of Software, Dalian Jiaotong University, where he also serves as Vice Dean. He earned both his Master’s (2007) and Ph.D. in Engineering (2016) from Dalian Jiaotong University and has been on the faculty since 2007, assuming his current administrative role in July 2018. His research focuses on machine learning and artificial intelligence, with projects covering human target tracking and recognition, pose estimation, behavior analysis, and network public opinion monitoring, as well as IoT-related topics like computation offloading in vehicular networks and wireless sensor network optimization for intelligent transportation systems. He has published in journals such as IEEE Internet of Things Journal and IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, holds several utility model patents, and has received Liaoning Provincial Teaching Achievement Awards (First and Second Prizes) along with multiple “Outstanding Instructor” honors in national and provincial student competitions. He also serves as an engineering education accreditation expert, a committee member of the Ministry of Education’s Computer Youth Faculty Committee, and a committee member of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence’s Youth Working Committee, and currently supervises 14 master’s students. |
